  • We Have Come A Long Way…

    January 17, 2011

…since Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963.

But until Theresa and Alia can legally get married then we still have a long way to go.

So this is what I would like to add to the dream speech…

I have a dream that little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin…

…or by who they choose to love…

…but by the content of their character.

    Here’s to having a dream.

And here’s to Alia and Theresa.

  • Almost a Toddler…

    January 16, 2011

Any day now this little one will be up and running…

But for now… she is still a cute little baby for just a little while longer.

Thank you for playing, Miss Noa. It was a pleasure to meet you today.

  • If life gives you snow…

    January 14, 2011

And you really want to go sledding…

    but there are no hills…

    And pushing just won’t work…

But you do happen to have two huge dogs…

Sit on the sled and just say, “Mush!”

When that doesn’t work, have someone the dogs love run really fast in front of them…

    And hold on tight.

But just know, there is a high probability at some point you will land on your face…

So make sure your car keys are  in a safe place.

Or at least make sure you have a good search party…

…and always offer a good reward.

    Happy Snow Days.

  • This was our New Year’s eve…

    January 11, 2011

    We went mussel hunting.

The walk, the hunting, and even the cleaning, with the help of Outkast and champagne, were amazing.

The meal… well, it needs some refining.

But really, it was always about the adventure.

And that is a good reminder for 2011.

  • Coaching & Creative Projects for a Well-Fed & Full Life, by Rachel Cole… (coming soon)

    January 9, 2011

Thank you, Rachel, for inviting me to come and help create the imagery for your new website. Despite the odds, I think we did pretty well, and I can’t wait to see the final results.

And thank you, Bridget Farmer, for bringing your style to the styling. It is amazing what a person can do without coffee.

  • The New Year is here… and so are my Resolutions…

    December 31, 2010

New Year’s Eve means that after all the celebrating is over…

We get to have a fresh start once again.

For some reason I am extra hopeful and excited about this year.

2010 was really good for me…

….but I want 2011 to be even better.

I want to be even better.

So I made a visual list, because I am a visual person, with some of my favorite photos from 2010…

…to remind myself of things that I need to do in 2011, in order to be a better: friend, wife, daughter, sister, photographer, human.

    And here is that list…

In 2011, I, Paige Green, need to remember to do a lot more…..

(…ahem… this is not what you are thinking. This means I need to wear more slippers, of course.)

(…this one means I need go to the dentist more often.)

(…this means I need to learn how to cook.)

    Happy New Year.

  • Don’t look now, but 2011 is rapidly approaching… (and a giveaway lies below)

    December 17, 2010

As I was putting in my own holiday print orders, I started thinking about what else I could give Arann that would be creative and inspiring.

So I decided to make a calendar, with the hopes that the best photos and memories of 2010 will inspire us to be even more creative and adventurous in 2011.

In my search for calendar making companies, I found this cool site that not only lets you make a calendar for yourself, but it also lets you share your calendar with other people too.

But because people generally like to have their calendars before the next year begins that means I need to share my creative surprise calendar for Arann now.

So my creative surprise for Arann is no longer a surprise, but at least maybe it can be a creative surprise for someone you love.

It just so happens that I ordered a couple of extras. And in the spirit of giving back, I would love to give away a calendar, as a thank you for reading my blog. I am always so completely shocked and amazed when people tell me they read my blog. And I get even more excited and inspired when people leave comments.

So if you would like your very own copy of ‘The Best of 2010 Just in Time to Inspire Us in 2011’ calendar, please leave a comment below by midnight on December 24th.

I will announce the winner on Christmas Day.

If you are not a gambling person, or you’re like me and you hate waiting, you can order your own copy right now just click here to go directly to the store.
